So.

Have you ever gotten home from a semi-questionable country - let's say, Peru - and continually heard horrifying things that you can't believe happened and feel lucky that you've escaped?

A plane crash on a route you traveled and an airline you flew with, let's say?

Or perhaps a friend's email from Arequipa, letting you know that he's fine, don't panic, but he just wants to let you know he was strangled mugged outside of the restaurant you recommended. Or perhaps another friend's email explaining that she's back home in Sydney, but before she left two friends she met on the road were "express kidnapped" in Cuzco - shoved into a taxi, brought at gun point to an ATM, forced to withdraw and hand over money, and then dumped in the Plaza de Armas?

Really makes you think about karma, I guess - as in the good karma you must have - and really makes you wonder if your father is as fiercely protective of you now after death as he was when he was living.

Um.

Spent the day with Jen yesterday painting her new condo, and we're headed down to Nicole's beach house now. Speaking of good karma, I can't say enough how lucky I feel at this stage of my life to know and have relationships with such amazing women. They're such a calming force, so props to them. I'll post more pictures and stuff from Peru when I get back.

xoxo
